Damask Divas October Blog Hop

If you have been following our Blog hop, you just came from crissyscraps and are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas October Blog Hop to find the complete list of blog hop participants along with their wonderful creations!

Using the My Reflections Moonlight Paper Pack, I generated 3 fun projects, my first was a card (pictured above) I made from a sketch obtained from the MojoMonday Blog Challenge (MOJO257).  The second was another card (pictured below) to show most of the B&T papers in the Moonlight Paper Pack.  Finally was a 3D element (scroll down for photo and directions) to make a Bat Box.

All cards and the 3D elements were generated by using the Art Philosophy Cricit Cartridge.

All wording strips came from the top strip that are on B & T Moonlight Papers.  No stamps were used.

Here is how I created the Bat Box:

The Bat is a Pillow Box from the Art Philosophy cartridge using # 8 and select Decorative Font.  Change size to 3.60 height (4.22 will become width).  Use strong adhesive and glue open side together and seal one of the curved sides.  Leave other curved side folded but not sealed to insert candy.
The Bat wings were made using from the Art Philosophy cartridge using # 6 label.  Change size to 3.10 height (4.69 will become width). You will need 2 labels for this project.
To make left wing, cut out the outer left curve portion of label to make a straight edge on the left side.  Leave the right side of label alone.  Then cut from outside lower left corner up to upper right corner.  This will give you the left bat wing shape.  Before attaching wing, distress edge with black ink.  Now you can attach wing to pillow box.    Using the right side curved portion of the label and keeping view on front of pillow box, attach curve part to what will be the back left side of box with strong adhesive or hot glue gun.
To make right wing, cut the curve on the outer right side of label to make a straight edge.  Leave the left side curve alone.  Then cut from the outside lower right corner up to upper right corner. This will give you the right bat wing shape. Before attaching wing, distress edge with black ink. Now you can attach wing to pillow box. Using the left side curved portion of the label and keeping view on front of pillow box, attach curve part to what will be the back right side of box with strong adhesive or hot glue gun.
For the eyes, I cut out 2 sets of circles 1 set at .40 and the other set at .30.  Glue the smaller circle on top of the bigger circle (also position it to give "look" look to eye).  Then attach smallest sized Opaque Licorice Adhesive Gem to center of smallest circle of each eye.  If you prefer, you can use standard craft eyes.

The embelishments that I used throughout the 3 projects are:
Opaque Licorice Adhesive Gems ($2.95)
Sparkles Black and Gray Assortment ($ 2.95)
Bitty Sparkles ($ 2.95)
Haunted Assortment ($4.95)
Harvest Baker's Twine Assortment ($4.95)

The next blog on the list is Debbie Johnson. Hope you have a great time on our hop and follow the blog to see all the wonderful creations you can make using Close To My Heart's My Reflections Moonlight Paper Pack. Paper Topiary

With help from Spellbinder's Spiral Blossom 1 and Daisy Flower cutout on Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, was able to make this lovely paper topiary for one of my grandmothers.  Over 120 flowers and is about 2 feet tall.  Used 2" floral pins with larger size pearl accents.  Ribbon is 1/2" sheer cream colored cut in 18" lengths.  Used DCWV Chateau Lavendar printed card stock.  Topiary is on a red bamboo that was placed in plaster of paris in a simple clay pot.  Used cricut cartridge to make fence cutouts and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

MojoMonday Post

MOJO259

Again, another great Mojo Monday sketch!

Using Close To My Heart "Dreamin" Paper Pack created this Pumpkin card in celebration of 'tis the season to be carving!
Cut out 4 cards for right "circle" and layered.  Used a standard round stamp and inked in Goldrush then dotted with Metal Marker.
Use Harvest thread to lace cut out from Cricut Art Philosophy border.  Used the Stamp of the Month to create Scarecrow and Pumpkins.  Used letter stamps to stamp "pumpkin".  Coloring the scarecrow used Close To My Heart Pacifica, Goldrush, Honey, Brown Bag, Cocoa, Chocolate, Sweet Leaf, Juniper and Barn Red.

This is a 6 x 6 square cut Colonial White cardstock.

Enjoy!

This is going to be a mini book for my daughters birthday.  She should love adding pictures inside then finding a fun place to keep it on display.
