Damask Divas Later Sk8r and Tommy

Welcome to Damask Divas Later Sk8r or Tommy Blog Hop!!My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close To My Heart. If you came from Amie Kiger's Mimi Myself and I blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

I decided to use Close To My Heart Tommy Paper Pack for a 2 page entries for a scrapbook.  You can pick the paper pack up for $9.95 but see a complete list of products that coordinate back to Tommy, click HERE.

For Later Sk8r Paper Pack, which I have used all up on my grandson, click HERE to see complete list of products.

The first page uses circles to show off photo's.  I used both Close To My Heart Cricut cartridges, Art Philosophy and Artiste to create die cuts.  I love welding die cut shapes to make more detailed die cut shapes.  For this page, the sailboats wheel was made from welding the Merry Go Round with clock hands.  I also added the frame around "SET SAIL!!!" to create cut out effect.  The 3 circles can hold 2"  pictures and the larger circle will hold a 4 to 5" photo.  I left the sun open for writing date and time.

For the second page, again, I both Close To My Heart Cricut cartridges, Art Philosophy and Artiste.  The big ship in lower right corner was made welding shapes together and inserting a die cut image in the center to be cut out (same process as "Set Sail!!!" mentioned on Page 1).  The 3 squares will fit 2" pictures and the rectangle cut with anchor's will fit a 3 1/2" x 5" photo.

Thank you for following Damask Divas Later Sk8tr or Tommy Blog Hop, next visit will be Sharon Chapman's Sharon's Paper Fiesta.  We hope you continue the fun journey of the hop and if you just came here, be sure to go to Damask Divas blog for the entire list of entries.  You will truly enjoy this hop, as it features 2 different paper packs!

Happily Ever After

Welcome to our May Art Philosophy/Artiste Blog Hop!   As you know, both the Artiste and the Art Philosophy cartridges are available exclusively through a Close to My Heart consultant.  If you don't already have a Consultant that you are currently working with, please contact one the Consultants in our hop with any questions you have!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create.   If you came from Michelle's blog,  My Creations with Michelle then you are in the right place!

Our challenge this month features not only one of these amazing cartridges but we also have a Wedding  theme.  There are so many weddings this time of year!  Do you have any weddings coming up?

My Aunt is getting married tomorrow (May 18th, 2013) and I am making her table decorations!  We talked about colors and she informed me they were going with yellow and white.  So using the Artiste Cricut Cartridg, I decided to make a candle box, daisies and "tattered" roses.

Since my aunt wanted to pay for supplies, she wanted me to pick up items at my local Hobby Lobby.

I did use White Daisy cardstock to make candle box.

You will select a daisy flower cut from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge, cut 3 at 3", 3 at 2.50" and 3 at 2".  Then you will select the triangle spiral flower for the center and cut it at 2".  1 Cricut 12 x 12 mat will hold cuts to make 2 flowers.  What I did to alternate the colors, I cut 9 sheets in yellow and 9 sheets in white (36 flowers in all).

For the rose, I selected the "tattered flower" from Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  Cut 5 pieces at 3".  I was able to make 3 sets of cuts (3 flowers) on one 12 x 12 mat.  Tint edges with Buttercup Essentials Ink to give more added affect to flower.

The box I cut to fit 2 per one 12 x 12 mat.  I welded hearts to give "window" appearance on box.  I distressed scalloped edges with Buttercup Essentials Ink and added 2 wedding rings to each corner.

I use a low heat glue gun when making my paper flowers, it makes a nice clean and "tight" flower.  The true benefit, it expedites the making process, due to not needing too much time to dry!

Your next stop on our "Happily Ever After" hop is Lucy's, Love 2 Create.

Damask Divas Dream Pop Blog Hop

Welcome to Damask Divas Dream Pop Blog Hop!!My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close To My Heart. If you came from Amie Kiger's Mimi Myself and I blog, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

To make the lower portion of the box, select <3D Object> <(Letter H)> and change size of height to 2.75.  To cut top of box, select <Shift+3D Object> <Letter H> and change height to 2.75.  Use on single mats for cutting as the finished images are too large for one mat.

For square cutouts, I used a my Fiskars Paper Trimmer and cut 6 pieces at 2" length and 2.25" for height.  I made 12 cutouts in all, 6 on outside of box and 6 on inside of box.

For the flower, <Accent 2> <Letter N> and change height to 1.70.  For the leaves, use <Shift+3D Object> <Letter N> make 2 images and change height on one to be 1.2 and the other to 1.  I trimmed them up and placed them under the flowers.  Best way to assemble flowers is with a low heat hot glue.  I then finished the center using a hot pink sparkle from Sparkles Red, Pink, & Purple Assortment.  I also added smaller sparkles to box from same assortment.

For the fan under the flower, I used a rosette cut <Accent 4><Letter J> change height to 1.20, fold at cuts and shape to half circle and glue to a scrap paper to hold shape.

For sentiment, select "Happy Mother's Day" from <Base/Fonts> and change height to 1.90 and width to 4.10.

The card is matted 4.25 x 5.50 base cut then cut 4 more pieces by decreasing cut size by .25".  Simple to do with paper trimmer, even gives you the A2 paper size to help you get started and all lines are at .25".  From the Dream Pop paper pack, I cut out the phrase "BEAUTIFUL" and cut it to fit.  I used Opaque Pearl Flourishes and colors from the Sparkles Assortments.
I used purple, pink, dark pink and gray sparkles.   Use a glue tape or glue runner to work on matted pages and then use foam tape to add sentiment.

Thank you for enjoying the Dream Pop paper pack Blog Hop.  Next blog is Latisha Gilliland's Creating Fun Crafts..  If you started here, be sure to visit Damask Divas blog for the complete list...there are some amazing ideas that will Pop in your Dreams!

Here is the BINGO card that our Consultants were given:

The Consultants were told they could make anything they wanted using the Artiste OR Art Philosophy cartridge AND you work off the BINGO card posted above. Basically, you make a "BINGO" by going across, down, or diagonally and you have to use everything in that bingo line.

For this BINGO card project, I selected Flower, 3D and Bling.

I used Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut  cartridge for all cuts for this BINGO project.  I used the Daisy flower cut for the light colored flowers and sized them at 2.5" and 2".  I then selected a 5 pedal flower (Posy) and cut 3 shapes (bottom) at 2.70", 2 at 2.50" and 1 at 2.10".  The leaves were cut at 2.5".  For the 3D element, I used a "pillow box" cut at 4.90".  All cuts fit on one 12 x 12 Cricut mat with spare room for other small cuts if needed.

I used B& T papers and assortment of cardstock in the Claire Workshop on the Go ($29.95) kit, with tons left over!  You can also puchase just the Claire paper pack for $9.95.

Happy Birthday card

This was so fun to make!  Using Close to my Heart's Chantilly Cardmaking kit stamp set.

Cut out card shape from Art Philosophy with Black cardstock and then cut out matching shape (smaller than card) in White cardstock for front of card.

I first placed the stamps over white cardstock, stamp image down (no ink).  I then sprayed Cranberry and Slate water and re-inker mixed spray bottles over paper and stamps, at distance.

Remove stamps, wash off excess spray.  Dry paper with dryer.  Place stamps back on white area from where stamps were with image down.  Place acrylic block over stamps and ink with black, line up stamps in white area and ink.

Glue white cardstock image to card.

Made 2 rosette flowers from Slate cardstock and sprayed with Cranberry water spray bottle.  Used a trimmed down flair swirl from Mini-Medley Wooden Accent Set and colored them in black.  I then added more embelishments, Opague Licorise Gems and Silver Glitz Gel.

Do allow time for the papers to dry but do use heat to keep them from curling.

Happy crafting everyone!
