Damask Divas Ivy Lane Blog Hop

My projects feature 2 cards from the Ivy Lane Card Workshop on the Go kit.

One showcases the beautiful papers that come with the kit and the other features a background made from one of the stamps that are included with the card kit.

This first card uses the B&T paper as the main background drop for the card then using strips of cardstock and the 1/2" border trim from the B&T Paper gave it a margin to the left side.  The gold metallic strip is the Shimmer Trim (self-adhesive) that comes with the kit and the smaller embellishments (sequence) is another part of the kit.  The stamps were inked in Cocoa and Blush and I used light marker of Cotton Candy set to highlight around "Life" on stamped image.

The second card showcases a softer side that was generated from Blush and Cocoa inks with the lace stamp in kit.  Then I stamped the 2 flower stamps to make the floral embellishment in the upper left corner and I cut a shape from the Cricut Artiste Collection for the sentiment.  The added embellishments are from the kit and the center swirls and bling are from the Rosewood Mini-Medley Accents.

Mojo Monday MOJO326 Entry:

I chose to make a circular card featuring Close to my Heart B&T paper called "For Always".

The card features pages from the paper pack and 3D embellishment.  All pieces were cut from Close to my Heart's Cricut cartridge collections, Art Philosophy and Artiste.

With the season of love around the corner, thought now would be a good time to make a card suitable to celebrate love.

Simply called "Je t'Aime"

My project features a home décor item, a flameless candle!  This project is really simple and easy on the eyes!!  Will work great with your holiday décor.

I wrapped the candle with a sheet of  B&T paper from the Frosted Paper Pack and wrapped it with Burlap Ribbon and tied it with hemp cord from the Mini-Medley Accents Wooden Collection.

I then placed 2 wood flower cuts on top of hemp cord.

To make the decorated glass beads, I cut out 1" circles from pieces of the Frosted Paper Pack and glued them on with cement paste.

This versatile set can be purchased exclusively through a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant for only $5 with a qualifying purchase of $50. (That’s a $17.95 value!)

Enjoy our blog hop.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2Create.  If you came from Theo's blog ~ Celebrate Crafts then you are in the right place!

For my project, I made an actual lantern!!  Using the Artiste Cricut Collection, Frost Paper Pack and November Stamp of the Month Illuminate.  I cut a 3D element from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge - flip out Octagon box (bottom piece).  You will need 2 cuts.
I then made labels to fit each of the 12 flaps (6 x 2).
Before I placed labels on flaps, I stamped the images on the labels using Slate Exclusive Inks Mini-Pigment Ink Pad.  Once I added a label to each flap, I punch holed just before the label.
To make the handle, you cut a piece of B&T paper to an angle point and then using a straw and Matte Mod Podge, apply to bottom of paper and roll around straw, be sure to keep the glue going on the under portion of the paper then when all rolled up, give it a good coat to the outside and place straw to dry vertical...I centered it over a glass.  Once dry, trim excess straw and thread the ribbon threw before applying ribbon to box.  I then glued the ribbon ends on inside of upper box.
Using hemp cord, I knotted the upper and lower flaps together until it formed the lantern.
This lantern works great with a simple battery operated tea light and a truly easy project with the Artiste Cricut Collection!!

Here are the items you will need to make this project:
Artiste Cricut Collection
Frost Paper Pack
November Stamp of the Month "Illuminate"
Slate Exclusive Ink Mini-Pigment Ink Pad
Hemp Cord
Hole Punch (Eyelet/Brad size)
Matte Mod Podge
Straw
Ribbon

Damask Divas Hungtington Blog Hop

Welcome to Damask Divas Huntington Blog Hop.  My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close to my Heart.

If you came from Brenda Zimmerman's Keepable Paper Creations, you are in the right place. If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

My Huntington themed project features a Paper Mache box that I purchased at Hobby Lobby.  I then used a matte acrylic paint to match the color "Slate" that is a suggested color compliment to the Huntington Paper Pack.

From the Hutington WOTG kit, I used 2 different sheets of B&T papers to cover the painted box.  The box measures 4" wide and is 4 1/4" tall.  I cut the paper for the box at 3 3/4" x 4" (4 pieces). The lid measures 5" square so I used one piece of the B&T paper and cut to 4 7/8" x 4 7/8".  The lip of the box measures 1" x 5" and there I cut (4) 7/8" x 4 7/8" strips and use the other side of the B&T Paper.  I used Tombow Adhesive to adhere cuts to box.

I then colored 2 wooden pumpkin shapes with Autumn Terracotta Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad, I used 2 different inking techniques.  The smaller pumpkin I colored directly on the ink pad, the larger pumpkin, I sponge dobbed the color on and then distressed with Whisper Exclusive Inks® Marker around the edges and used a little touch of Olive Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad to color top of pumpkin. The canvas pumpkin comes from the Huntington WOTG kit's Huntington Assortment set.

I used the flourish wood pieces from the Mini-Medley Accents Wooden Collection.  Then I added some sparkles - Brown & Tan Assortment that also comes in the Huntington WOTG kit.

The stamped image is from the Huntington WOTG kit, inked with Slate Exclusive Inks® Stamp Pad.

The next blog on the list is Cydney Fowler's ~ Cydney Fowler Creations. Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using the Huntington Paper Pack. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas blog for the full list.
