Damask Divas Laughing Lola Blog Hop

Welcome to the Damask Divas Laughing Lola blog hop.  My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close To My Heart.

If you came from Sharon Chapman's Paper Fiesta, you are in the right place.  If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

For my project, I decided to make a project using the new Designed Decor Flip Stand Album (Z1896 - $12.95).

From the Laughing Lola Cardmaking Kit, I used the stamps and cut out the shapes, added some "bling" from the new Mini-Medley Accents Collections in Rosewood (Z1857 - $5.95).  I also used Laughing Lola Assortment, paper clip and pattern button.  The "Too Cute!" stamp is from the new Wild Wonders stamp set (C1558 - $13.95).

It was really simple to create the pages and add holes to fit to the frame.  Just use your imagination when using the flip stand, there are so many things you can make with it, don't forget to add insert page inside the frame to give an added look also!

The next blog on the list is Amie Kiger's Mimi, Myself, and I. Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using Laughing Lola paper pack. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas blog for the full list.

Damask Divas Pro Player

Welcome to the Damask Divas ProPlayer blog hop.  My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close To My Heart.

If you came from Mandy Leahy's My Passion for Scrapbooking, you are in the right place.  If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

My project features an A2 sized card suitable for any young fellow who loves monster trucks and dirt!!  The ProPlayer paper pack has so many options, I used the red circuit board B&T for the background of this card.  I cut it to the A2 size for a perfect fit.

The stamped images are from the Maximum Force stamp set, stamp set from Laughing Lola Cardmaking Workshop on the Go and December 2013 Stamp of the Month.  Using the Maximum Force set, I used the tire tread stamp, "This is how I roll" stamp, and the monster truck stamp.  The mud look behind the truck was created from the "smudge" stamp in the Laughing Lola Cardmaking WOTG.  The "Gently Wash" title is from the December 2013 SOTM.

For embellishments, I used a couple of new products.  From the ProPlayer Assortment, I placed 2 colored corrugated cardboard shapes (blue chevrons) and 1 twist tie from the Slate Striped Twist Ties set.  I then added some square shaped Durables to the card.

The inking was done using Close To My Heart's Pigment Ink and as instructed by my 4 year old grandson.  For the color on the monster truck, I was handed Sunset, so I inked up the entire stamp in Sunset.  I was then asked to make it look dirty so using the color he handed me; Chocolate, I inked around the outer edge of the stamp to give a dirty look to the truck.  Since tires are black, I was handed the Black ink and informed to make the tires look "real".  He is so creative!!  Best part, he even helped with the clean up after card was done!

The next blog on the list is Teri Hanson's DiGizines by Teri. Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using ProPlayer paper pack. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas blog for the full list.

O is for OOh bOy For Everything's ABC Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter O. This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their O element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you are at the beginning of the hop.

For Everything's ABC Blog Hop, I thought I would use a picture of my grandson to express that he is the "Ooh Boy" of our family!!

Using the new Artbooking Cricut Collection from Close To My Heart,  I chose Star Photo Mat (4 x 4) and changed height to 11" to fit the page.  I then used the Borders to cut the stars and star border.  I then selected "All Boy" keeping it as original size along with the letters "OOh bOy".

The paper pack is an older set from Close To My Heart but thought it would be the perfect paper for the theme and colors from my grandson's bicycle.

Assemble the layout how you want, move around the letters, I purposely positioned the "b" to scale my grandson's back and worked the rest of the letters around that.

Damask Divas Sarita

Welcome!!  My name is Traci Williams and I am an Independent Consultant with Close To My Heart.

If you came from Cydney Fowler's ~ Cydney Fowler Creations blog, you are in the right place.  If you have jumped here and just discovered our blog hop, feel free to check the list at Damask Divas blog to find the complete list of blog hop participants.

This Damask Divas Hop is featuring Sarita Paper Pack.  My project is a small "butterfly" thank you gift box made from Cricut Artiste Collection.  This project is real simple with a "fun" result!!

To start, I used the Lagoon Cardstock inside the paper pack.  I also took 3 different B&T papers and cut out 6 x 6 of each one for the specific cuts you will see below.

Using the Artiste cartridge, find the Butterfly 3D element, size it to fit to page.
Next,  cut "Thank You" at 2", select a label or shape that you want to place the sentiment on.  I used a background for a flower cut and sized it to 2.5".
Cut out 2 flowers (rolled cut to quill) at 2.5" and select to cut the leaves at 2".
I embelished the quilled flowers with Opaque Adhesive Gems in Pearl.  I then added a flower from the new Base and Bling Jewelry collection, Teal Jewels.  I then adhered the completed label onto the tied a bow.  For the bow, tie it around one of the flip folds on box using black tulle.

The next blog on the list is Roberta Hupp's ~ Arizona Scrap Addict. Hope you have a great time on our hop and checking out all the creations using Sarita Paper Pack. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas blog for the full list.

Surf's Up

It's summer time and I know we are all spending time outside enjoying the sunshine and the surf!  For this month's blog hop, we are featuring the exclusive "Surf's Up" paper pack from Close to My Heart!    We're celebrating fun in the sun with this colorful paper pack that also has some amazing coordinating accessories and embellishment.

Not only are all of our creations going to use our Surf's Up paper line BUT they will also be using our exclusive Art Philosophy, Artiste, and/or the NEW Artbooking Cricut cartridges available exclusively through a Close to My Heart consultant!  What ?!?!? If you don't already have a Consultant that you are currently working with, please contact one of the Consultants in our hop with any questions you have!

In this hop, you will see projects featuring this versatile cartridges from many talented crafty ladies!  Enjoy our blog hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create. If you came
from Theodora's blog - Celebrate Crafts then you are in the right place!

I made a single page scrapbook page that you can place on display or in your scrapbook!

It is a simple project from Surf's Up Paper Pack. For the surf look, cut away one of the surf scenes from the Background and Textured papers in the Surf's Up Paper Pack and use 3D foam tape and attach to bottom of background card stock. Using the NEW Artbooking cartridge, spell out Beach Life at 2.5" and use the blue scale B&T paper from kit. Cut out a hexagon shape at 5", fold at points and create arch to give "umbrella" look. Trim away back area of umbrella and glue to background card stock. I made a 2" mat backing for a "face" shot below the umbrella. Add some embellishments from the Surf's Up Assortment and cloud sticker from the Surf's Up Stickease assortment to give it a little more fun!
